2) Practicalities for the board meeting
a) No hard ocpies
As travel is far for everybody we shall NOT provide hard
copies of the agenda or the annexes. Hence, please down
load all this information if possible before leaving.
Our host Abul Hasan Siddiqi will make sure that we have
access to the internet in the meeting room.
In addition all these documents will also be available
on a memory stick.
b) Read annexes before the meeting
As our meeting will be slightly shorter than usual due to
late start I ask you all to read the material before
the Board Meeting.
3) Additional annexes and updated ones to download from web site
Additional annexes for the board meeting and updated ones
have been created. At the end of the agenda it is indicated by the
word NEW the new files.
You can download these as described in topic 1) above.
4) Presidents check delegates:
By now you should have verified on our website in the
restricted area that the correct persons are indicated as
your representative.

Pioneer: - minimal digestion by prize committee:
"American pioneers", remove "American"
The prize committee felt that the wording:
"The prize commemorates the spirit and impact of
the American pioneers." reminds of a very negativ
connotation of the word "American pioneers" as
these have behaved
very negatively towards the indigenous population.
- maximal suggestion by SIAM. Remove the complete
sentence.
- conflict of interest
the prize committee suggests that none of its members
should receive a prize
- in each subcommittee in the first round
- every member has to declare possible conflict
of interest
- the delphi system has to be used
