Dear ICIAM Board Members,
The ICIAM Board meeting will take place on Saturday 23 May in Glasgow, UK, organized by the IMA. The Board meeting is preceded by the customary workshop on 21 and 22 May. Both events will take place at the University
of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC), 99 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RD. The Board dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday 23rd.
Please register as soon as possible for this event here: https://ima.org.uk/13446/iciam-workshop-on-applied-and-industrial-mathematics/
On the registration page, please indicate whether you will attend both the Board meeting and the workshop, whether you want to give a talk at the workshop, and whether you will attend the conference dinner. Please
let us also know if you will bring a partner to the dinner. There will be some room at the dinner to accommodate partners, although, at this time, we are unable to promise any funding for partners. If you wish to bring a partner, please indicate this request in the Special Requests Box on the registration page.
The IMA's funding allows us to offer some support to delegates who need this, primarily in the form of accommodation in a hotel close to the venue. Priority will be given to delegates from developing countries
(aacording to this list: https://www.mathunion.org/cdc/about-cdc/definition-developing-countries). You must indicate when registering that you would like support. Please also contact the conferences department via conferences@ima.org.uk if you wish to be considered for financial support.
There is no registration fee for the workshop, and refreshment breaks and buffet lunches will be included. Lunch and dinner will also be covered for the Board meeting. Please note, that attendance of the Board
meeting is limited to the official delegates of each society (one or two, depending on the society's membership status).
A list of hotels in Glasgow close to the TIC building can be found here:
