October Webinar on Gender Equality
ICIAM is an active participant in the Standing Committee on Gender Equality in Science (SCGES). To bring greater attention to activities supporting gender equality, the SCGES started a webinar in early 2022 where sessions highlight issues and activities related to gender equality. The next installment in this webinar series will be Oct. 26, 14:00-16:00 CET. This session, organized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, will be on “Moving Ahead on Gender Equality: A Chemistry Perspective.” For more information on the webinar and to complete the required registration, go to the web page https://gender-equality-in-science.org/event/scges-webinar-october-26th-2022/. ICIAM has created a web page to collect information about activities its member societies are doing in support of gender equality. The page is located at: https://iciam.org/iciam-activities-support-gender-equality. If your society has had an event or some news of activities that support gender equality, please send information to Carol Woodward (woodward6@llnl.gov), and we will get it on the web site.
