Dear Presidents and Representatives of Member Societies
ICIAM-2023 (August 20-25) is approaching. Below are information about
two business meetings organized at ICIAM-2023. We need to have your replies.
1) Based on the feedbacks from Member societies, we plan to oragnize
Meeting of Presidents of Member Societies,
9.00AM-12:45PM, on August 20, 2023.
The venue for the meeting is:
Waseda Universtiy International Conference Center 3F Conference Room No.1
1-20-14 Nishi-Waseda Shinjuku-ku Tokyo 169-0051 (In Main Campus)
after the meeting, Lunch (13:00-14:30) will be arrange at
the Rihga Royal Hotel Tokyo. Traditionally the Meeting of the Presidents
is an inform meeting of the presidents of our member societies, together with
officers of ICIAM. At the meeting, we can exchange ideas/views and discuss any issues
about development of Industrial and Applied Mathematics worlwide, activities of ICIAM
and/or member societies, and collaborations between member societies. Please inform
me (president [at] iciam.org (president[at]iciam[dot]org)) or the secretary Suzanne Shontz (secretary [at] iciam.org (secretary[at]iciam[dot]org))
whether you (or you send someone from your society) will attend the Meeting of
Presidents and join the lunch.
2) The 2023 ICIAM Board Meeting will be held at
9:00AM-18:00PM, on August 26th, 2023
The venue for the Board meeting is:
Waseda University Nishi-Waseda Campus, Building No. 63 2F
Meeting Rooms 202, 3-4-1 Okubo Shinjuku-ku Tokyo 169-8555 (15 minutes walk distance from main campus)
Lunch will be arranged.
This board meeting is very important, as it will make many important decisions,
including, electing new officers-at-large, approving the SPC of ICIAM-2027, etc..
Please make sure that your society will send representative(s) at the Board meeting.
Please tell me (president [at] iciam.org (president[at]iciam[dot]org)) or the secretary Suzanne Shontz
(secretary [at] iciam.org (secretary[at]iciam[dot]org)) the names of the representative(s) of your society
who will attend the Board meeting, if your society has not yet done so.
I would like to reminder that societies which have not yet paid their ICIAM membership
fees will be deprived their rights of votes at the Board meeting. Therefore,
if your society has not yet paid the membership fees, please do it as soon as possible,
at least before the board meeting, otherwise your society wont be able to vote at the
board meeting.
