The International Science Council Regional Focal Point for Asia and the Pacific is providing free on-line social media training to build capability in science communication, improve digital storytelling and use of social media platforms. There are to be 6 training sessions in all. The first module was “Navigating the social media landscape as a scientist in 2024”, held 4 September, at which quite a number of social media platforms were briefly described. A recording of the session is available via the above link. The second training module is scheduled for 16 October and is on “Developing a social media strategy for scientists.”
The online training sessions were announced to ISC members in the Asia-Pacific region along with early and mid-career researchers. They are open to anyone who registers at the programme page given above.
