ICIAM Su Buchin Prize

Established in 2003 to provide international recognition of an outstanding contribution by an individual in the application of mathematics to emerging economies and human development, in particular at the economic and cultural level in developing countries. This includes efforts to improve mathematical research and teaching in those countries. 

The prize was created on the initiative of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM), and was first awarded in 2007. It is presently funded by CSIAM.

At present the prize winner will receive an honorarium of 5000 USD, will not pay the registration fee to the congress, and will have travel and living expenses covered by the organizers.
