ICIAM prizes and honours are awarded in connection with the ICIAM Congresses.
There are currently six ICIAM prizes: the Collatz, Industry, Lagrange, Maxwell, Pioneer and Su Buchin Prizes. In accordance with the prize rules, a selection committee is to be set up for each of these prizes. These selection committees make recommendations to the ICIAM Prize Committee, comprising the chairs of the selection committees and chaired by the ICIAM President, which determines the prize winners. The selection committee is given below each prize citation; see also ICIAM Prize and Selection Committees.
The Olga Taussky-Todd Lecture is conferred upon a woman who has made outstanding contributions in applied mathematics and/or scientific computation. In accordance with the rules, the selection committee is set up by the ICIAM President and comprises five to seven members, determined in association with Women in Mathematics societies from around the world and of which at least half are to be women. This selection committee also determines the lecturer. The selection committee is given below each Olga Taussky-Todd Lecture citation; see also ICIAM Olga Taussky-Todd Lecture Selection Committees.
The 2023 ICIAM Prize winners were announced on September 19, 2022. The prizes were awarded during the Opening Ceremony of the ICIAM 2023 Congress in Tokyo, on August 20, 2023.
